Kiddies and Kitties

Consider this the sequel to last month's preggo coworker post.

Most of the coworkers I chat with have young kids, so convos around the office inevitably center on them. 

You're probably thinking, "Oh no, this is going to turn into a trite 'childless person hates hearing about peoples' kids post." But you're wrong. I don't mind their kid stories. That's not the problem at all. 

I hold it in for as long as I can, you guys. But I'm pretty sure *I'm* actually the awful coworker who can't stop from redirecting any conversation back to her cat. 

Ugh, I'm the worst. 

Boyfriend's Career Choices

If you listened to the blogcast last week, you’ll know Boyfriend is not too happy at work right now, and is thinking seriously about his career. I figured since I wrote about career choices for myself not too long ago,  Boyfriend would benefit from the same.

I resisted eating a bagel at work and I’m pretty sure I deserve some kind of medal.

My office has been just filled with junk food lately.

Part of this is my fault, seeing as how I organized an office bake-off to get everyone to bring in baked goods for me to eat.

Anyway, then my coworkers brought in extra Halloween candy and Halloween munchkins and it’s just been a junk food fest all week. I finally decided to take control.

Easier said than done.

It went on like this until noon.

And that is how I managed to not have a bagel on bagel Friday.

I saw Boyfriend after work and he wasn’t terribly impressed with my achievement.

Do you guys have treats at the office? Do you ever manage to resist them??

Part Time Jobs

So, a couple of weeks ago I referenced a work project that was taking up all my free time. That is just about done, which is good. But now that I’ll have a reasonable amount of free time again, I really need to look into part time work. I would like more money.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of part time work I could do…considering I have very few skills and generally hate being around people.

I'm not above it, y'all.

My self control isn’t great. Ok, so I would need to avoid anywhere that served French fries. Maybe I could work at a bar!

Yes, that is a Scrubs reference.

Ok, so I’d need to avoid alcohol serving establishments as well. I need to keep working on this one.

What about you guys? Do you have part time jobs? Or ideas for a simple blogger who is good at sitting and cuddling cats and not too much else?
