What's been going on, you ask?

Yep. A nice trail of poo from the kitchen to the litterbox in the living room.

She was sick last week, I brought her to the vet and gave her some meds and she's doing better in general. But I think maybe I gave her a bit too much pumpkin (fiber). Sigh. I imagine it happened like this.

My poor kitty. Anyway, this was Boyfriend's reaction:

Ok, maybe he was planning the trip anyway and wasn't going across the country because kitty pooed all over my apartment. Maybe. Either way:

Hope you all had a less poo-filled weekend!

Swimsuit Shopping, Le Sigh

This is a messed up time of year. Yesterday's weather was pretty much this:

And yet, it's already time for this:

Have you guys been swim suit shopping lately? It's not fun, especially for us ladies.

True story. That really happened. Stupid spandex.

Anyhoo, I tried on a variety of styles:

I finally decided on one that....looks exactly like all the other swimsuits I have.

What about you? Are you all ready for summer?

Life of Cat

As I was sitting around this weekend, I realized something.

And then I realized something else.

Not forever. Just for like, a solid month or two.

Ah, the simple kitty life. Since I can't actually live like this during the week (stupid job), I've taken to catting on the weekends.

And tbd, the whole catting thing is exactly why this post is pretty short and not very well developed. I couldn't help it, I had to sleep for 12 hours!!

Bad Kitty!

So, I walked into my kitchen a few days ago to see this:

Yes, that's my kitty. Standing on my only eating table with her dirty, litter filled paws. I reacted:

Kitty did not:

I've been informed that "this is how it starts."

I refuse to accept that. I will NOT have a counter-cat (a cat that jumps on the kitchen counter, for you non cat people).

Does anyone else do the aluminum foil trick? It doesn't work at all with my parents' cats. Luckily, my cat is much more fearful of noises.

And that's how I bested a ten month old kitten. Huzzah!

Cat owners: how do you keep your cats off of tables/out of bad places?

Cave Kitty

As I've discussed before, I've cut way down on the carbs

I've also mentioned kitty's expanding waistline. As a result, I've cut out the kibble and am only giving her wet food.

So, we're both eating kind of paleo-like-ish. I call it the Cave Kitty Diet.

You know, except for the fact that I don't eat meat and her food comes out of a can. Besides that, it's pretty much how I imagine our ancestors ate.

Man our ancestors had it easy.
