Intermission.

So, today's podcast isn't quite ready yet. It'll probably go up some time over the weekend. Until then, did you listen to last week's yet?!?! It's good. I promise.

I resisted eating a bagel at work and I’m pretty sure I deserve some kind of medal.

My office has been just filled with junk food lately.

Part of this is my fault, seeing as how I organized an office bake-off to get everyone to bring in baked goods for me to eat.

Anyway, then my coworkers brought in extra Halloween candy and Halloween munchkins and it’s just been a junk food fest all week. I finally decided to take control.

Easier said than done.

It went on like this until noon.

And that is how I managed to not have a bagel on bagel Friday.

I saw Boyfriend after work and he wasn’t terribly impressed with my achievement.

Do you guys have treats at the office? Do you ever manage to resist them??

Boyfriend Did a Scary Thing

Boyfriend and I actually discussed this in our last podcast, here. But I wanted to tell this story in bloggy form, too.

The weekend before last, Boyfriend came over. We sat:

And drank

And Boyfriend did a thing he sometimes does that rhymes with boke beed.

Yes, Boyfriend occasionally smokes a little. Probably about once a week, max. And he’s been doing this for years. My point is, it was nothing new or out of the ordinary. But then a weird thing happened.

Boyfriend got really pale and dizzy and nauseous and felt like fainting. I reacted appropriately.

So I sat on the floor and googled being high and pale and nauseous.

According to the internet, that’s when you get really really pale and sick after smoking weed.

So I spent the night taking care of Boyfriend, giving him sips of water and trying to feed him sugar.

He got a bit better a few hours later. Apparently you can “pull a whitey” when you smoke way too much (especially if you drink before too). Like I said, Boyfriend’s been smoking forever and this is the first time this has ever happened. He felt mostly better the next day, but still had a headache and was a bit off.

Has anything like this ever happened to you?
