Big Cat, Big Dreams

You all know Boyfriend has two kitties and one is, uh, large. Possibly part ocelot. So this conversation ensued:

And of course, we both starting imaging Archer in that famous Miley Cyrus video. Enjoy:

But it also led me to answer the question "what's your dream job" and "what would you do if you had a million dollars? And the answer is: reshoot famous music videos with cats. Cats instead of Britney Spears in Oops I Did It Again. Cats instead of Christina, Lil kim, Pink, and Mya in Lady Marmalade. Cats instead of the Backstreet Boys in I Want It That Way.

Guys, this idea is a winner. I feel it in my bones. I also imagine there's a good chance someone already came up with this, so I'm refusing to google it to keep the dream alive.

Really, I only see one downside here:

  1. I think almost any cat could do a bang up job of Bad Romance. Now this Miley Cyrus video, it must be new, yes? I suppose I'll have to google it to get the reference to the wrecking ball.

  2. Cats would be great doing a Lady Gaga tribute too.

  3. I'm not sure it's been done - at least not as a series of videos, anyway. I can't find them on youtube, at least.

This is it. This is what you were born to do. Remake "Billie Jean" using cats.

  4. I'm not a big cat person (I know, not cool) but I am very intrigued by this idea!!

  5. This reminds me of Austin Powers when Dr. Evil demands "one miiilion dollars," and Seth Green mocks him ruthlessly. I think you're going to need more than a million dollars to pull off all of these reshoots. The CATering alone will cost a meowlion dollars...I'm not proud of myself.

  6. How do you keep them from doing yoga in the middle of a shoot like in your last illustration? I would love to see some remakes of Weird Al videos with cats as long as you're at it.

  7. Cats probably aren't cooperative enough for music videos, but if you had a collie to herd them, it might work.

  8. Wow !!! absolutely fantastic blog. I am very glad to have such useful information.
