So, I currently work for a nonprofit. I won’t be doing this
particular job forever, and lately I’ve been thinking about what my career
options are. I’ve come up with a few:
Ok, I don’t know why I thought dance was an option. Hmm, I’m kind
of handy.
I did not think that one through. Next!
I have a thing about pulses…I don’t know.
I don’t see a
downside here.
What’s your dream job?
You definitely don't want to be a ballerina, haven't you see Black Swan? Something about dancing on your tip toes makes you go coocoo bananas. I love that your image of a plumber is Mario. Well done. I'd like to be a professional...well, crap, I don't know, maybe that's why I'm stuck bouncing from menial job to menial job.

What about all those creepy princess stalkers that come out of the woodwork when your father holds a contest to marry you off? Do you really want to be giving a frog some tongue in the hopes of getting a prince?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to humbly suggest to your princess-ness that you need to dream bigger. Princesses are a dime a dozen, but Queens are rare and magical-- and don't necessarily have to dress in frumpy clothes. In fact, you could be the first stylish Queen of the century and rule the world because of it. It'd be fun.

DeleteI'm living my dream job. I just wish someone would have told me that my dream job doesn't actually make much money. So does writer count as "non-profit"? I haven't made any profit at all yet. (hyuck hyuck)
ReplyDeleteAlso, doctor sounds like a fun job until you realize you have to fish through people's gross insides. It's almost like a plumber, minus the plunger.

I have the same thing with being a doctor. My mum used to say, "why don't you study medicine?" Erm, I literally can't take my own pulse without throwing up. It makes me feel all shivery and disgusted.
