Throwback Thursday: Just because I like this post, and also cats and Boyfriend and cheese.

I posted this real texting between Boyfriend and me on facebook awhile ago:

Me: How was golf?
Boyfriend: I won!

Me: YAY! There's nothing I like better than when u do good at golf
Me: Except maybe french fries
Me: Oh and les mis. But that's it!
Boyfriend: Um, aren't you forgetting something?

Me: Cats?
Me: Napping?
Me: I also have strong feelings about cheese. But stronger feelings about you! Mwah!
Boyfriend: it was napping.

In conclusion, I'm really romantic and probably deserve some kind of award. Also, this conversation made me want to sing:

Did I mention kittens?

...

...

Note: this list was not all inclusive. I also love ducks and money and my iphone and french fries and pie.

The Incredible Farting Cat

Yes, it's another cat post. Sorry. I'll eventually start blogging about other topics, I swear. But right now, I'm all:

Yep.
So when I first got kitty, she came in a cardboard carrier.

She was understandably freaking out when I drove her home the first time.  Whilst in the car, all of a sudden I smelt something foul.

When I got her home and took her out of the box, there was no poo.  I didn't think much of it until the next day.

Yes. My cat farts. Apparently this is a somewhat unique feature in a cat.

Boyfriend didn't really take me seriously. Until it happened to him.

Does anyone else have a farting pet??

Throwback Thursday: Walking a Cat

Throwback Thursday: Because Boyfriend has been telling me to get a harness for Kitty McGee.

In case you missed it, I polled you guys on whether or not my sister's cat was fat. Here are the results. However, some readers brought up the idea of walking the cat. I imagine that would go something like this:

Guess this means I need to go find a kitty harness.

True Detective and GhostCat!

First, my tablet is fixed! Ok, more like I plugged it in again and it started working. But yeah, huzzah! Fixed! On to the story.

Boyfriend and I have been watching True Detective. We binge watched the last 5 episodes this week.

If you've seen it, you'll know it's creepy as fuck.

But it's also pretty good. I recommend.

After, then we tried to go to bed.

A note about my bedroom: right now, I'm not letting kitty in there when I sleep. She has this habit of aggressively attacking my feet, and I need my beauty rest.

She likes to sneak in, though.

I can't say I always mind.

So, Boyfriend and I were laying in bed, sleeping and having terrible true detective nightmares.

At around 2 am, Boyfriend got up to use the bathroom and came back to bed. I could tell he was moving around a bit.

Truth be told, I thought I felt her walking near my legs, but when I reached down for her I didn't feel anything.

I told Boyfriend I had to go to the bathroom and that I'd check the living room for kitty.

She wasn't in any of her spots in the open, so I checked in her common sleeping spot, under the futon. Lo and behold:

That's right. Kitty was sleeping soundly until I woke her up. I could tell what she was thinking:

So I crept back into bed and told Boyfriend.

Suffice it to say, sleep did not come easily after that.

In the morning, Boyfriend and I talked about it.

So yes, we may have a ghostcat(!) in the bedroom. Do your cats/pets ever creep you out like this? Or you have a ghostcat! story? Share!

Tablet Problems :(

So if I'm being totally honest, I wasn't going to have a spectacular post ready for today. It's been a busy weekend (I HAVE A CAT NOW!!!!), so you weren't going to get one of my really good bible stories. More like some variation of this:

HOWEVER, when I sat down with my wine and popcorn to let the genius flow this weekend, I ran into a small technical problem. It's pretty complicated to explain, but in layman's terms we can just refer to it as a "My-drawing-tablet-is-all-fucked-up-and-I-don't-know-why" issue.   I'm going to try to get it fixed this week, and either way, there should be a podcast coming shortly (..anyone?).

Excuse me now, I have a cat I need to harass.

Throwback Thursday: I don't do well in the heat

#ThrowbackThursday: Because I've seen the extended forecast and it does not look good.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This probably is not a huge shock to anyone, but I do not do well in the heat. I become sweaty angry Gia. And in case you haven’t noticed or read my post from earlier this month, the entire east coast has been about 10,000 degrees.

Yes, this is becoming a problem. Especially because the ac at work is fickle, so sometimes my side of the building ends up getting super hot.

Yes, it makes my hair frizzy and my makeup run.
And you know what else I hate about the heat? Cars. Thank God Boyfriend got me a sun visor because this was happening every day:

Wait, you can’t tell what’s happening here? Let me explain:
Seriously. Dark interior suuuucks.
I’ve been blasting in the ac in my apartment to keep cool.

Boyfriend's reaction:
No, no I do not.
Sure, my bank account is sad, but it’s worth it.

One of the few things I do miss about my old apartment was the pool. I’ve actually been driving home on the weekends to chill at my parent’s little above ground pool. It’s the only thing that seems to work.

Happy Gia:

Wait, happier Gia:
Everything is better with ice cream.
