I Never Should Have Went into Five Below

So, Boyfriend and I were hanging out last weekend, and we had to run some errands. I needed to buy some critical supplies, like this kick ass popcorn maker:

 Cool, right?

The Popcorn Spoon. It's kind of a thing.

I also needed to buy a couple of hand weights.

Boyfriend suggested we go to five below. I’ve been there once or twice, but I didn’t really remember it.
It's wondrous
For those of you who don’t know, five below is a store where everything is five bucks or less. Like a jacked up dollar store for rich people.

We went in and I got my hand weights – five bucks each! Awesome sauce.

But then I made the mistake of looking  around.

I ended up only buying the weights and an iphone cover. But DAMN. That store is a cheapo/poor person’s dream. Seriously. Boyfriend created a monster

  1. I've never heard of Five Below. I thought it was a store that carried cold weather items. I hope you're getting paid for this advertisement. You'd be a great spokesperson.
Also, does popcorn maker popcorn taste better than microwave popcorn?

    1. Damnit! I forgot to beg five below to sponsor me (and yeah, I used to think it was a snowboarding place)! Sigh.

And yes, I think it tastes better

  3. Yes! I heard about Five Below before Christmas but thought it was just a tweeny boppper store. Ummm...no. It's kind of amazing. I got a yoga mat for $4 and a bunch of other stocking stuffers that trip. It was ridiculously busy and full of tweeny boppers and I haven't been back since, but it was worth the trip.

  4. Oh man, I went there around Christmas time and became completely addicted!! The iPhone cases alone. Five bucks? Seriously? Love that place. Which of course means that I have to avoid it at all costs, lest I go bankrupt.

  5. i never ever ever want to live in a place that gets to five below.

I like that your boyfriend hates shaving as much as I do.

  6. I am a believer in the Five Below. I had my cherry popped while Xmas shopping and that place made four kids worth of stockings absolutely awesome!

It's not close to me, thank goodness, or I'd blow all my bubble gum money there.

  14. As a psuedo-poor person I can't believe I've never heard of this! Oh wait, on second thought, maybe this is why.
