Boyfriend’s Sad News

If you listen to the podcast, you’ll know Boyfriend’s dog has been struggling with cancer. After a very long and very happy life, his puppy passed away last week. :(

Boyfriend is handling it exceptionally well.

But I’m very sad for him.

In honor of her, here are a couple of facts about Puppy.

Puppy liked her walks with Boyfriend more than anything.

Puppy was great with people, but she did have a healthy hatred for ducks.

She probably knew they were mostly rapists.

Even when she was very sick, she always had a tail wag for Boyfriend when he came home.

And brought him a toy when he walked through the door.

At the end of the day, Boyfriend was her favorite person. And she was the world’s best dog.

As any pet owner knows, even a good long life of 13 years isn’t nearly long enough when it’s time to say goodbye.

Sigh. Here’s to Boyfriend’s best friend, fluffiest pet, and most loving dog.

:(

  1. Aw, I'm sorry to hear that and have nothing but empathy for Boyfriend (and apparently you, Gia). Being an ardent listener of the podcast, it seemed that Boyfriend did everything he could to make her life a good one.

  5. That is tough, my post on Wednesday is about the one great dog everyone is allowed to have.

I think Puppy might have been Boyfriends one Great dog. There are still goods ones, but you only get one Great dog.

  7. Aw, I'm truly sorry to hear that. I couldn't imagine losing one of my furry family members. As Pickleope said, he sounds like he gave her the best life she could have possibly had, and for our pets, that's all they could ever ask of us.

  9. Thanks Gia for more manly tears. And thanks to everyone for your kind words. She really was my one Great Dog and I miss her like crazy. I think I'm experiencing, oh what do you call them...? Feelings? Not a fan. RIP big dog. Peace.

  10. I'm sorry. Was she a labradoodle or goldendoodle? She was exceptionally cute. Adjusting to life without a dog, or life without one of our dogs, is horrible and takes quite a while.

    Love,
    Janie
