Fat Cat Poll Results

So, last Friday I asked you to take a poll about whether or not my sister’s cat is fat. The results:

  • No, this cat isn’t fat and I am a terrible judge of animal obesity. 20%
  • Well, I don’t want to hurt the kitty’s feelings but *whispers* yes the cat is fat 22%
  • Of course the cat is fat, SHE CAN’T EVEN FIT IN HER BOX! 4%
  • Holy shit its GODZILLA KITTY!!! 4 %
  • Because I’m worried about the alarming rate of kitty eating disorders, I refuse to participate in such nonsense. Kitty is  beautiful as she is. She is a role model for full figured cats everywhere. Don’t make her change.  54%

So there you have it.

Sigh. Poor us.

  1. Can you take a cat for a walk? Is that possible? I haven't seen anyone with a cat on a leash, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not possible. Or maybe cat stomach stapling, Al Roker style, is that an option?

    1. My cat has a harness and a leash. Mind you, when I put it on her she just goes completely limp and won't move, so it's more like taking her for a drag than taking her for a walk.

    2. Secretly, I always wanted to take a cat for a walk. I don't have a cat though, so I just pretend my dog is a cat.

    3. I used to have neighbors who took their cat for walks. They looked ridiculous.

  2. I, for one, would very much enjoy a pictorial representation of you walking your sister's cat.

  3. I missed the poll! She looks OK, not model size but not obese...she would survive a harsh winter better than others!

  4. I have a huge 15 pound Siamese who the vet says is just a big cat. We thought she was obese, but he says no. She sure is heavy though... lol.

  5. Walking to/from the food dish and circling your feet IS kitty's exercise. Don't over exert Gia!

  6. I live right next to a huge wooded area, and when I walk through the trees, my cats will follow me!! If they're not chasing things it's like a little parade.

  7. Kitty snot fat. Kitty fluffy. Kitty pretty! And, apparently, I'm a freaking cave woman.

  8. I exercise my cats with a laser toy. The scramble and jump and run trying to 'catch' the light. Maybe your sister can try one! Then she'll go from pleasantly plump to lean and athletic. Maybe we all should get laser toys!

  9. I don't know if you've seen the gif of the cat that has ham thrown in its face (causing it to topple over) but I love it and that's how all cats should be fed.
