Hangover Blues

Remember how I made fun of my cat last week for being hungover? Welp. I should have known better, because this was maybe my Sunday:

They're sunglasses, okay?!

My sister and a couple of friends came over on Saturday night and we drank and went out. We stayed out really late.

After a respectable six hours of sleep, I woke up not feeling great.

I spent a large part of the day flopping around my bed

March Madness, you guys.

Ok, I was pretty much directly quoting from an episode of Girls at this point.

I seem to have come down with a case of whinyitis. Does this happen to anyone else when you drink (you know, the monster hangover and/or the complaining)?

  1. I am thinking a few drinks might cure my current whinyitis, s maybe I would briefly stop caring about what a mess these people I live with make of our house...every minute! Your bed and bedspread are very pretty!

  2. But no barfing (oral poops as some--me--call it)? If there's no barfing then it's a mild hangover that could be cured by walking a lot. Not to scare you, but hangovers only get worse as you age. Now, I have hangovers that last multiple days. I do pity you, though, you and your bracket.

  3. I don't get hangovers, but I am suffering from old-people-itis, in that I think staying out until 10:45 is "late." I remember the last time someone told me a party was running until 3. I asked, "Wait, you mean AM?"

  4. Bah. I'm 27 and I feel like I'm 97 most days. I hardly drink because I totally get old-people-hungover errrrrytime.

  5. I get whiney even without the drinking. I did nothing yesterday and was mad ar myself for doing nothing, but couldn't muster any energy, so I just grumped around all day and evening.

  6. Hangovers suck. I think the whining was justified.

  7. I don't remember the last time I was hungover, but I am incredibly whiny when I am sick. I mope around complaining constantly about every single thing.

  8. OMG You ARE old. I left the bar at 11:15 p.m. and I was SO ashamed of myself. Ha! I lasted longer than you... I feel so much better now.

  9. Good gracious...I got 3 kids to come to AND wake up to and even I can can make it until at least the midnight hour.
oh wait....the 3 kids...THAT's why I am out of the house in the first place.
    never mind.
    as you were.

  10. Yeah, my body has definitely let me know that I am not young and nearly invincible anyone. I barely got sick in years past and the few colds did get did not last for as long as they do now. I try not to drink often or much these days and when I do I try to push non-alcoholic liquids through my system.

  11. Oh yeah, that happens to me whenever I'm feeling bad. I know people say that women are stoic when they're sick, well I'm definitely not! If you don't whinge, you don't get sympathy!

  12. I can't get drunk so therefore I can't get hungover.

What I mean by that is that the more I drink, the sleepier I get and I'm going to fall asleep way before I even drink enough to get drunk.

  13. A few weeks ago I got drunk. Like really wasted n messy. Next day I woke up with a massive memory loss. Upon hearing about the stuff I did from witnesses, I knew that I was better off without the memory! Yikessssss

  14. It's bad when 10:45 is a late night. That used to be when I *started* my night. What the hell is happening to me?!?! Waking up the next day I'm ok as long as I get some greasy hangover food.
