Argo: A Review

After a battle with every piece of technology we have, Boyfriend and I watched Argo this weekend.  Well, *I* watched Argo.

In conclusion, Argo is an excellent and stressful movie. Boyfriend enjoyed the five or ten minutes he managed to stay awake for.

  1. Did he end up watching it wide awake later? Those 24 hour rentals are the bane of my existence because I may be narcoleptic and thus, never get the true value out of my rental. Also, weren't you distracted by Daredevil being in the movie (Afflec).

  3. Ok, here's the thing that's driving me nuts . . . I also watched it this past weekend and recognized (well everyone, but) the one girl who plays the wife of the guy who doesn't want to go, blah blah. I think her name was Sarah in the movie and in real life it was something Bishe. WHAT IS SHE FROM?? She is so familiar, and I've seen her before in something and CANNOT figure it out. It's driving me insane. Help???

  5. I thought this was an amazing movie. And yes, even though we knew how it would end, it was still super tense.

  6. Thanks for the review, Gia. I've been pretty tired all week, so maybe this weekend Wifey and I will pick up Argo... pop some corn... snuggle up under a blanket... catch up on my sleep!

  7. I enjoyed Argo. Since so much of the plot referenced movie making, I understand why it won the Oscar.

I'm also impressed by the plan our military hatched to use rockets to land, load hostages and take off a massive transport plane inside a soccer stadium. Too bad it didn't work because the test footage is amazing imo.

  8. I'm looking forward to this movie. I use Netflix, so if I get sleepy, I just pause, go to bed, and finish watching when I get up.

    Love,
    Janie

  10. I don't think I'm rested enough for this movie... but when I am, I do want to see it. I could use some good heart-stopping suspense.

  12. Part of me really want to see Argo, but part of me is annoyed that they hardly mention any involvement of the Canadians in the film at all. It was a pretty big deal here when this all went down and you should know that there's Canadians who won medals over the shit that went down there! Medals I tell you!

Sorry, I try not to rant. :)

  13. All I know is that Canada is involved somehow so I should feel proud. :)
