Another Short One

So, if you were expecting Boyfriend to contribute to a post this week (because, you know, I told you that was gonna happen), I’m very sorry but he’s been super busy being a hero at work:

I’ll convince him to do it soon, I promise.

In other news, I have a post written about a burrito, but I don’t want to post it until I draw some pictures to go with it. Because the burrito was amazing and it deserves the best. Want a sneak preview? Here’s a haiku about it:

Make my mouth water
With all your deliciousness
Sexy burrito.

You're welcome.

Also, if you haven’t liked me on Facebook yet, can you PLEASE?!? And let me know if you have a page, because I’ll totally like the crap out of it.

Following me on Twitter is also fun.

Okay, that’s enough whoring for now. I mean, you guys aren’t Boyfriend. (Awkward?) Soooo...anyone have any good plans this weekend? Hmm? What are you guys up to? Clubbing? Drinking? Sexing it up? Playing with your cat (no euphemism)? Watching videos of cats on youtube because you can't afford a cat right now and your lease won't let you have one anyway?

Me? I'll be sitting and drinking and sitting some more and I’ll be back with posts that make sense next week!

  1. I look forward to the burrito post if the preview is any indication of what's to come. No plans other than nursing a well-earned hangover. Have a good weekend.

  2. Oh this was a good one! I absolutely adore the burrito haiku! May I post it on my blog if I link it back to you?

Weekend plans... nothing much. I'll be checking all the blogs - but people most often don't post on the weekend which is a bummer. I need to go into town but that won't be until next week... my cousin is getting married tomorrow but, unfortunately, I can't be there... so I'll be drooling over her dress from afar. That's about it. Pretty boring forecast for me!

  3. I already liked you! If you want to like me back, I'm at facebook.com/claybaboons

I kinda feel like I should have gotten a friend to post this for me. You know, the whole "Stephanie likes you. Do you like her back?"

  4. Oddly enough, I had a tasty burrito today. It has been a good day. I can't wait to hear more about it.

  5. I think that the blog universe should take one day and everyone post about burritos. They're THAT awesome, as was your haiku (and you know I have a penchant for poetry).

    Consider yourself liked.

    I'm at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ach-du-Lieber-Jayne/288807151162472

    Did I do that right?

  6. I have no plans and no burritos, but I am looking forward to playing the role of a hugless hermit and getting crap done at my house this weekend. And by "getting crap done" (no euphemism) I mean trying to come up with a post that makes sense, even if it lacks your awesome pictures...and a boyfriend. And a cat. Damn.

  7. I liked you, I liked you a lot. BOOM

  9. This weekend. Silent House with Boyfriend. Have you seen the previews!?! Or maybe the Lorax by myself because, well, I rock like that. And wine. And girl scout cookies.

  11. My plans for the weekend are to survive the weekend.

    I love the haiku!

  12. I would do anything for a burrito right now..

  13. Manfriend is doing a post next week, also. Actually, he has already submitted said post (I like to pretend that I'm an editor at a really cool magazine or something...), but I'm waiting to post it because I already posted this week and I can't draw fast enough for two posts a week. I don't want people's expectations to get high or anything.
I am excited to "meet" Boyfriend.

  16. What is sex? It seems vaguely familiar? But now that I have a beachball where my stomach used to be, sex- it escapes me.

  18. I like you. I really like you.

Oh, and I liked you on FB.

I have a page as well. You can like me if you want. No pressure.

(I was gonna put a link to it, but I'm kinda dumb about those things, so just go to my blog and click the "like" button there, k?).

Oh, and I hate hugs, so we can just agree to stand an appropriate distance away from each other with mutual admiration. Deal?

  19. this post just makes me want to hug you. In fact, I'm hugging you in my mind right now...and just to make the point...I'm leaving my hand on your shoulder just so I can linger in your personal space.

  20. Tonight I'm going to drink n/a beers and eat shitty food.

Tomorrow I'm going to some art shows and having sexy time that isn't so sexy.

Sunday it's bad movie and cheeseburger night.

So to sum it up: shitty food, nosexy sexy time, naked 70s chicks and bacon burgers.

    1. Which is still better than drinking shitty beer and eating n/a food.
      Naked 70s chicks work, though.

  21. My friend Carol and I are having dinner together tonight. "Night" means I'm picking her up at five. We'll be home by seven. I don't see well enough to drive after dark and she's 70-some years old. We're quite the exciting pair.

    Love,
    Janie

  22. No fair. You get to sit and drink and I have plans each evening this weekend which preclude drinking. Tonight? Youth event at church. (yipe) Tomorrow? Working my 2nd job. Late. Sunday? Theatre. Well, okay, so I can have a drink Sunday, maybe, but will be driving so have to watch it.

    Have fun!

  23. I had to run out to Chipotle after all of your burrito talk on Twitter. (I will use anything as an excuse to go there but my husband agreed because your first D.A.R.D. post made him crack up...so, thank you for not only supporting ducks but my Chipotle habit too!)
As for this weekend...girls night tomorrow night! So flippin excited!!!

  24. I'm going to get the internet back up and running at my place. I canceled service with my old ISP about a week ago and tonight is activation day with my new ISP. Hopefully, I won't have to leave the house this weekend for any reason. Oh, except for a carne asade burrito because the Mexican food places here in San Diego make a great carne asada burrito and your post reminded me of just how much I enjoy eating these things.

  25. Hmm, my plans were blown out of the water by my husband's erratic work schedule. Maybe I'll eat a burrito instead.

  26. I'm now following you on Twitter (sounds like a creepy old guy stalker thing) and I like you on Facebook (which also sounds creepy and not a little bit dirty).
No plans for the weekend. Although that sexing up thing sounds intriguing. I just hope I can convince Mrs. Penwasser to stay awake. Or not. I guess consciousness is desirable, not mandatory.
Good God, I just can't stop sounding creepy.

  27. I am going to floss my teeth and stalk my favorite musician. May nit get around to flossing.

  28. We had a big party last night. Happily I didn't overdo it and am in good shape this morning. TOTALLY going to like you on FB right now! Like me back? ;)

  29. My cat is currently staring at me over the top of my laptop screen. He's trying to send me telepathic messages consisting of feed me fish and I think I feel a hairball coming on and stuff.

I wish I was getting tied to the bedposts and blasted with sperm this weekend but instead I'll be working on my midterm.

Now there's a great Facebook status right there. Feel free to totally use that one if you want.

  30. Well now I want a delicious burrito!

  31. I might actually create a Facebook just to like you. At the very least I'm thinking about it. You're welcome :)

  32. Looking forward to anything involving burritos. I loved your haiku. We had to write one for an art class I was in once. Mine went:
    My cornea burns
Cuz I slept in my contacts
    Hope I don't go blind.

I was then yelled at for not taking the class seriously. I was deadly serious.
