Well, I read that warm baths helped. So I’ve recently rediscovered the joys of bathtubs. It went something like this:
It was awesome. Until this part, approximately 85 minutes
later:
I hate getting out.
What? I wrap my hair in a towel. NBD. |
I don’t want to see my water bill this month.
I even hate getting out of the shower! Brrrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Except, I always think I'm going to love taking a bath, and then I get in, and I'm like, well now my hands are wet, so I can't read a book, and my towel's waaay over there, and the water is too warm, so my torso feels like it's being cooked, while my head is still cold, and then I realize - again - that I really don't like baths.
ReplyDeleteU R Funny!
ReplyDeleteYou know what makes bubble baths even better? Wine. Lots of it.
ReplyDeleteI usually spend my Friday nights in a lot of bubbles and with a bottle of cheap merlot.
Id be nice if we could all just want to lay back in a tub and drink wine?
ReplyDeleteWhat gibberish did I write earlier?
DeleteLet me try this one again:
Wouldn't it be nice if we could all just lay back in a tub and drink wine?
LOL! That's the thing about baths, they're only really good when they're scalding, then you need a shower later because you sweated so much in the bath.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love baths, especially when I have lots of time on a weekend. I bring in my Nook and relax. Until I remember that I'm basically sitting in a stew of my own filth, then it's not as appealing anymore. Until the next time!
ReplyDeleteThe people who owned this house before us redid the guest bath and put in a jetted tub...which should have been totally awesome, except it is the same size as a regular tub. The jets are just along your legs, and there's a huge slant for your back which makes it in fact smaller than a normal tub. It's very disappointing, unlike your lovely bath! Maybe I need a rubber ducky.
ReplyDeleteYeah... I don't really care for baths either for that same reason. Though if I could do it the Japanese way I probably would enjoy it more.
ReplyDeleteAlso, sitting in a soup of your own filth? No fun.
I always imagine baths as sitting in my own filth... Then it kind of gets ruined.

hot baths are so comforting when the muscles are aching. just add some scented candles to that bathroom and some music if you like...it's just that relaxing.
ReplyDeletei think baths soak you up and loosen dead skin and with a scrub in the shower afterwards, you just come out clean as new. love it!
I have the BEST bathtub. I take baths at least twice a week. I bring my laptop into the room so I can watch movies while I soak and soak and soak.
ReplyDeleteSo true! I always avoid getting out even when the water is totally lukewarm! I love a good bath. Hot as I can stand it!
ReplyDeleteSo you would hate spas too, no? Baths are great! People say it's like marinating in your own stink, but if you rinse yourself real well first, drain, then fill, you're in for a smooth, non-body-stank-film bath. No one has to choose betwixt shower and bath, we can all have them both.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely the worst thing about baths!!!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it - getting out sucks!
ReplyDeleteLove it! This is just how I feel when taking a bath!
ReplyDeleteHA! I'm not the only one who showers after a bath! Oh the sweet relief to know I'm not alone!!!
