Boyfriend recently got Netflix, which is awesome because I love it when he gets stuff I can mooch off of. So we started watching Orange is the New Black. We binged on
the first three episodes in one sitting.

Boyfriend eventually fell asleep because that’s his normal schedule. I watched one more
episode.

any spoilers, please!! It’s already taking everything in my power not to
Wikipedia it.
That show is so good. I'm down to the last episode and it makes me sad I won't have any more. I just hope it doesn't take a turn like the writer's other show, Weeds.
ReplyDeleteThe one great thing about this show is that Netflix has given her free reign to do whatever she wants. We can only hope that she takes full advantage of it. Although I did love Weeds, but when they moved out of the suburbs it kind of lost its flavor.

ReplyDeleteMy wife and I just started watching it too. We are about half way through the season. I had the same reaction to the first minute of the show that your boyfriend did.
ReplyDeleteDepending on who I'm talking to I either tell them "Don't worry, the pace of the lesbian nudity action dies down after the beginning." or "Warning, they don't keep up the pace of the lesbian nudity action that they start with at the beginning."
I take it that the show is good? I was tempted to watch it because Lindsay Felton shows up in it at some point, but I was scared it sucked...

ReplyDeleteWe watched all the episodes in about two weeks (one of us has to go to work sometimes or we would have finished sooner). We loved it and can't wait for season two to find out what happens to Piper after she did xxxxxx and yyyyyy in the last episode.

Like everyone else, me and the hubs watched the whole series in less than a week. Seriously one of the best shows ever. I can't wait for the second season!!

ReplyDeleteAccording to you, and these comments, and everyone else on the planet, I need to get on board and watch this show. I guess I was just jaded by Weeds, which went from great to terrible to "oh God, this is so unbearable I have to just stop. I've given it way too many chances."

ReplyDeleteI just started watching that this weekend. I got through 3.5 episodes. it's great! I think Piper's reactions to things is hilarious. And I kind of heart Crazy Eyes just a little... :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it, but I've had it recommended to me several times. Your line about wikipedia it cracked me up, because that's exactly what I did with Game of Thrones when I was newly watching it. I couldn't help myself!!
