Spring Cleaning

Me, this weekend:

jokes on you: i didn't clean it last year, either.
Did I see Beauty and the Beast this week? MAYBE.

Yep. Had some houseguests visit this weekend, so I had to actually ~clean~ my apartment this weekend, beyond my usually monthly half-assed vacuuming and pushing dust around with a wet tissue. Oh, the humanity!

  1. I feel your pain. There's nothing I hate more than housework. That's why I hire someone to do it for me.

  2. Whoah!!! I LOVE, LOVE cleaning. I would come over and clean for free. There is something about things being bright and shiny that just works for me. OK, I probably need to seek professional help but maybe my new therapist will let me clean her office.

    1. Chery., you are my new best friend. Please move to Florida and live in my neighborhood. In fact, the house next door to me is for sale.

  3. You gotta get a cleaning crew. They're really affordable and wayyy better than me. Best $40 I've ever spent.

  4. Ha! I truly hate cleaning. I mean, I do it because I have to, but if I can get away with making things look presentable without actually having to clean, I'm all for it!

  5. I pretty much keep things clean all the time. You hate me now, don't you?

    Love,

  6. I set it in stone: I clean every 6-8 months, whether it needs it or not.

  7. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that pushes around dirt with a wet tissue, leaving behind a surface that's... less dirty and kind of shiny? Shiny looks clean, right?

Yeah, I'm not gonna clean this year. Maybe next year?

    1. How about Swiffers, dude? You can push one around and it actually picks up dirt.

  8. I specifically picked out a stone floor that wouldn't show dirt. You can walk on it with muddy shoes and not notice. I vacuum it once in a while and every spring it gets a water scrubbing.

You could hire a maid. But wait, I forgot. Then you'd clean the house before the maid came in so she (it's usually a she) wouldn't think you were a slob.

  9. I am starting to think that we are soulmates... I have the strongest feeling that in my previous life I was a pig!

  10. This is really funny! We can send a man to the moon, we can fly across the continent, talk to people half way around the world, and there are new inventions every day, you'd thinks someone could invent a self cleaning house. If I was smarter, I would.
