It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...WTF

Did this happen to anyone else?

Tis the season?

  1. Yep and I hate it. It used to be Thanksgiving that ushered in the holiday season. Now its Halloween. Nothing like getting into that holiday spirit by seeing a bunch of dead things and witches running around. Nothing says happy holidays like a zombie knocking on your door begging for candy brains.

  2. Hahaha. That's exactly how it happens. Macy's had their Christmas section up mid-October.

  6. Yes! I saw Christmas stuff out for sale before Halloween. Dammit give some time for Thanksgiving!

  7. I was getting some last minute candy the day before Halloween and directly across the aisle, they were setting up the Christmas candy. Likewise, when we were at the mall, trick or treating with my nieces, there were Halloween decorations, and in some spots, Christmas decorations were already up, but covered, just waiting for the sneak attack the next day, I can only imagine!

  8. When I was growing up during The Dark Ages, stores didn't display Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. I don't think they pushed as hard to get people to buy, buy, buy. I must be getting old if I'm saying the past was great. Mostly, it wasn't great. I'd rather be me, now.

    Love,
    Janie

  9. The stores are always in a big hurry to remind you that Giftmas is coming. It's pretty gross.
