Thoughts that Keep Me Up at Night, Volume 1

In case you guys missed it, I'm moving next month to a cat-friendly apartment.

Boyfriend does not appreciate my cat concern. I need one that is A. adorable B. friendly but not too outgoing C. female D. a wee little baby kitten E. pretty much perfect in every way  and F. either free or pretty close to it.

  1. It must be difficult living in your head. Entertaining though!

  2. Hopefully you don't have any nice furniture. Whoops, there's another worry. How are you with cleaning up kitty puke? Or hairballs? Or mystery rodents? Or showing up to work with random scratches?
These are the thoughts that prevent me from ever getting an animal companion of any type. Will I never know love?

  3. i want to get another cat eventually... my longtime companion Little Guy passed away, and now I'm worried his brother Pancake is going to get lonely. I don't know what to do... part of me wants to get an adult cat, they have such a hard time finding a home, but another part of me wonders if a kitten would be best for Pancake's active personality. Cat Concerns are very real.

  4. Less than 15 minutes ago (I kid you not) I was A) cleaning up a massive pile of cat puke from her running full speed after eating B) clapping my hands loudly so she would stop scratching the couch and C) cleaning out a litter box. All of this within 10 minutes of each other.

Ask yourself if that's for you, because that's a pretty typical morning around here.

    1. My cat woke me up at 4:00 this morning meowing because he was stuck in a room that he probably closed the door on. He likes closing doors.

  5. Be prepared for having a meowing alarm clock! I get woken at 6 AM everyday by kitty bitching...

  6. You will adopt, won't you? If you buy a cat at a pet store or from a breeder, I will kill myself just so I can haunt you.

    Love,

  7. I had a crappy cat once. He was mean and peed on everything. I'm sending positive cat thoughts your way. No one wants a shitty cat!!

    Hugs!

  8. Unless you end up with the cat who was so ferocious he cornered a whole family in their room, then I think you'll be fine. Just don't buy any new/good furniture.
