Wonderfalls

This year, I had a really good idea for Boyfriend’s Christmas gift. You see a few months ago, this happened:

Please do not comment on the proportionality of the lightbulb.

So I did what I do best.

I ordered it online and sat whilst it was delivered to me.

I was a little worried Boyfriend would get impatient and order it himself on a whim, which is why a few weeks ago I told him not to buy anything for himself:

I figured I was safe, right?

Fast forward to gift exchange time:

Yep, we both got each other Wonderfalls.

Returning things is a weakness of mine. Along with time zones.

So,  that’s how Boyfriend ruined my gift for him by getting me the same thing but alls well that ends well because I didn’t have to return mine. (I can't be the only one with an aversion to returns, right? RIGHT?!)

Does anyone else remember Wonderfalls? We just started, but I like it so far.

  1. Never heard of Wonderfalls, but did you just say "telly"? Since when are you British or Madonna?

    1. I like saying telly! It's so much more fun than tv. I'm trying to get it to catch on here.

    2. She also said "whilst". I was waiting for her to ask Boyfriend if she'd do him a "favour." Bloody hell!

(I've never heard of Wonderfalls either, for the record)

  2. My brother and I both got each other Penguins hoodies this year... same style but different design, thank goodness. I was pleased, because I usually get people stuff that I secretly want.

  3. Hahahahaha! I love this! But, I think you made this whole thing up because I've never heard of Wonderfalls either, and that makes all of us in the comments section.

  4. Nothing wrong with telly. Sometimes when a telemarketer calls, I answer the phone and use a British accent. I say, Madam is not available at present. I remember the name Wonderfalls but never saw it and don't know what it was about. You can send the extra one to me. I gave compression socks and slippers to Willy Dunne Wooters. Those are old people presents. He wore the socks once and then they disappeared. Probably in the trash. The slippers are too small. That bastard couldn't even compress his feet into those fucking slippers just to make me happy for five minutes. And I'm not returning those bastards.

    Love,
    Janie

  5. This is exactly why I said the words "goddamn you, you whore" to my mother-in-law mere hours before Christmas. She had been yammering for weeks about wanting a heated mattress pad so I ordered her a nice one online (among other things, the ungrateful bitch) and before I could even that bitch wrapped and under the tree she said, "My mattress pad came today." And I also have a terrible aversion to returns, so I told her to send the one she bought back. But she didn't. She gave it to my husband so I'll be even more burnt up and night sweaty than I already am.

  6. I HATE online returns! I've warned my husband not to buy me anything online because that's pretty much a guarantee that it won't fit or be the right one and will need to go back. I gave him some leeway in that if wants to shop online, that's fine as long as I can return it to a physical store. Major pet peeve of mine. We've got a stuffed squid in my closet right now bc we accidentally got two online. I'm hating that stupid squid right now.

  7. LOL! I never heard of it but at least you two are on the same brainwaves it seems.

I also hate returns and need to do a few soon
