Night Owls

Out of Boyfriend and me, I’m the night owl. When he’s over, the evening usually ends up like this:

However, something weird happened last Friday and we switched roles.

Does that ever happen to any of you? It’s weird.

But don’t worry, we didn’t switch roles in the morning.

  1. That last panel is me. I love it so. I don't know why but at some point around 11, I develop an extreme case of narcolepsy. Add wine, and my body will produce Ambien naturally within my veins.

  2. Usually my boyfriend is the talkative one at night when we go to bed.

In general, I talk about 70 percent of the time and he remains pretty quiet.

For some reason though, when I am waaay past the point of exhaustion, Boyfriend gets this sudden urge to talk and talk and talk until I'm all like, "STOP BEING SO CHATTY I AM TIRED."

  3. I can't even tell you the last time my husband stayed awake through anything we watched. Maybe never.

  4. That is like me and my wife. Except I'm the Gia, and she's the boyfriend. Usually, I can stay up half the night watching TV (or blogging) and she drops off about 11:00. But occasionally we switch and I'm out like a light before 10:00. Either way, the next morning she wakes me up about 8:00, talking about what a great day it's going to be. When I mumble "It's too early," she says, "No, it's great! I've already been to Zumba for an hour and picked up breakfast. Let's go do something!" I need some caffeine poured down my throat, and about 20 minutes to get going.

  5. I just want to sleep all the time. I guess that's a symptom of depression. You don't think I'm depressed, do you?

    Love,

  6. Yep. That sounds like me. Either I'm up all night or I pass out at 11.

  7. I was with friends on Saturday night, and we all three passed out before midnight while we were watching trashy cable shows. At least one of us wasn't sitting there wide awake while the other two snored :)

  8. I'm the awake, and he's the asleep. Except when I'm the asleep... but even then he's the asleep, too. So then no, I guess we don't switch. I messed that up. I'm sorry. You're on your own.
