For those of us following the Kavanaugh hearings, this week has been so exhausting.
Between the emotional testimony of Dr. Ford, Kavanaugh's hysterics, the news that the vote was going to happen, the news that the vote WASN'T going to happen, the FBI investigation, the limits to the FBI investigation, the tweet saying there wasn't limits to the investigation, and whatever the next thing is, I'm totally drained.
If anyone needs me, I'll be screaming into the abyss.
I keep up with what's happening in the world without watching too much of it on TV because it exhausts me and makes me angry.

ReplyDeleteBecause of this past week, I've taught my 2 year-old the art of "the silent scream." That way, I can make it a fun game whenever I need to scream "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck" without teaching her some new words and having her end up being "that kid" in daycare. Although, she did say "goddammit" in proper context yesterday, so I think she's getting the existential dread through general osmosis.
