I'm the Mayor of my own Crazy Town. Sheriff, too.
Boyfriend is doing well there. In our house, spouse took up half the bed. The middle half. A big cat took up half of a remaining quarter. I had to struggle for space. They conspired to steal the blankets. Now I have sleep issues. I blame the cats.
Pretty funny how you immediately went into "planning mode," LOL!
My ex's cat used to sleep perpendicular to us, meaning he'd take up most of the bed. Given his size, it was still preferable to on top of either of us.I just brought a new cat into my house two weeks ago and he seems to like sleeping on my neck. But he's small.
Is it dangerous to have an obe--uh--pleasantly plump--no--carrying winter weight cat fall asleep on your legs? Wouldn't that cut off circulation to a dangerous degree? If you had a bigger bed, would that encourage the cats to carve out their own space or would it just remain a "you're my territory, so I sleep on you" situation?
I fell asleep reading while on the sofa last weekend. I woke up and couldn't move because I had three cats on me. The one pressing on my bladder was the most uncomfortable, but at least I was warm.
