Apocalypse...now?

Ok, this is a slight exaggeration for blogging effect.
This is not an exaggeration.

Yep, hurricane season is freaking me out a little bit this year. I hope any readers in Florida (Janie, I'm looking at you) are safe and sound!

  1. No kidding! It's been a crazy month. Hopefully, the next month is more boring, natural disaster-wise.

  2. Don't forget us! We have fires here, too. What a fun and memorable end of summer this has been.

  4. What must you think if you live in Mexico? A bastard actively trying to fuck with immigration (it's not a problem, people, it's demonstrably not a problem) then an earthquake followed up with a hurricane? That's a rough deal. I'm getting the apparent remnants of Irma and have a few shitty trees ready to fall on our house. Not looking for sympathy, just know that there are people too poor to cut down shitty trees and have to just cross their fingers that said shitty trees don't fall on their house. There's house insurance but there's not preemptive cut-down-shitty-trees insurance.

    1. Ugh trees! I had that EXACT convo with Boyfriend.

Me: Boyfriend, I really don't like that *huge* tree hanging over your house.
Boyfriend: do you have 5 grand to cut it down?!?!!?
Me:LOL. Would insurance cover cutting the tree down?
      Boyfriend: No
Me: Would insurance cover it if the insurance crushed your house?
      Boyfriend: yep.

      SO DUMB.
