Swimsuit Shopping, Le Sigh

This is a messed up time of year. Yesterday's weather was pretty much this:

And yet, it's already time for this:

Have you guys been swim suit shopping lately? It's not fun, especially for us ladies.

True story. That really happened. Stupid spandex.

Anyhoo, I tried on a variety of styles:

I finally decided on one that....looks exactly like all the other swimsuits I have.

What about you? Are you all ready for summer?

  1. Swimsuit shopping is easy. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I walk in. Take the first pair of shorts I see. Try them on. Pay. Leave. Elapsed time 15 minutes if the clerk is paying attention, 20 if not.

  2. That was funny. Well done. Is swimsuit shopping an annual thing? Do people buy new swimsuits every year? I've held on to my 1920's style full-body swimsuit (complete with weird pine hat and pocket square) through the decades and dammit, it still looks hot. Me, not so much, but the swimsuit remains dashing.

  3. I wear the kind with the little skirts too.

  4. This sounds hilariously miserable. And my process is even easier than Keith's. Oh look, I'm already wearing shorts. Take off shirt - jump in water. Done.

  5. Where do normal people go swimming?

  6. I'm going to Vegas in May and I'm hoping that I'll be so white I'll just blind everyone and they won't be able to actually see me. Kind of like staring at the sun or an albino.

  7. not easy! i prefer one-piece suits with good upper body support. i have one like that now but if i do find something as good or better, i'd buy it.

  8. I have not bought a swimsuit since 1996. One more year and I can celebrate a 20th anniversary!

  9. LOVE all the different styles you tried on! Good thing you opted out of the tassels because I think they're a choking hazard. I usually punch myself in the boob when rearranging my clothes.
