I Might Be Lactose Intolerant

So, sometimes after I have dinner with Boyfriend, I get all congested. We’ve entertained the possibility of a wine allergy or chocolate allergy, but we’ve determined it’s not that. Recently, I tested the possibility of having an issue with gluten, but that wasn’t it either.

About a week ago, Boyfriend had an idea.

Um, that's supposed to be a red mark, not blood.
I decided not to accept it.

And then this past weekend, we ordered pizza.

A few minutes later, something happened.

Soooo yeah. The signs are pointing to lactose tolerance. However, the signs also point to Gia continuing to eat cheese and other dairy products, because DON’T TELL ME HOW TO LIVE, DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.

Anyone else lactose intolerant?

  1. No, but I heard Kobe Bryant was Shaq-tose intolerant.

  2. That's a nightmare. I hear fermented cheeses, like swiss and blue cheese, don't have much lactose left and are okay in small doses. Or you could go get yourself an allergy test before panic sets in. Also, get ready to love sherbet.

  3. I'm lactose intolerant but I don't care. As long as I don't drink straight milk I'm usually fine and don't get horrible stomach cramps. But if I eat too much ice cream or something... that's tempting fate and something bad happens. But it's worth it, because ice cream.

  4. I'm sorry that I laughed so hard at your digestive issue. I hope you figure it out and it can be cured without giving up cheese and ice cream.

  5. I used to be lactose intolerant when I was a kid, but I just kept eating cheese and drinking milk anyway. Why? Because fuck you, I'll do what I want. And now I don't have so much as a single problem when I have dairy. True story.

  6. I believe I might react the same way if I was told I couldn't eat cheese. Good luck!

  7. Urgh yes I am and it sucks. When I eat dairy my skin breaks out in spots ! Pain in the bum. I'm pretty good at substituting, I eat dairy free butter and milk, which tastes the same if not better, but cheese, ohhh cheese. That's is a tough one. My motto is 'everything in moderation'. Now if you'll excuse me I have a cheese cake to finish!

  8. I'm not lactose intolerant, but I thought that if you were, then your stomach would be upset. Sneezing seems more like an allergy. Anyway, you can take pills that are supposed to allow you to tolerate lactose. I don't want to see anyone give up ice cream.

    Love,
    Janie
