Houses for Gia!

As I've mentioned before, I'm considering moving this summer into a new apartment where I can have cats. Here are some of the homes I've considered.

A blanket fort/pillow tent.

A mountain-home.

A castle.

An old abandoned house overrun with cats.

What say you all? Where would you live?

The Joys of Living Alone

Okay, so as I may have mentioned (or can’t shut up about), I finally moved into my own apartment. I bet you’re wondering how it is.

It is the bomb diggity.

Do you know what I love about it? The freedom.

The freedom to take off my bra immediately after work and sit braless for the rest of the evening without worrying about other people around.

The freedom to keep peanut butter in my food cabinet without worrying about others eating it.

(Seriously I used to have to hide my peanut butter.)

The freedom to keep the thermostat exactly how I want it.

Though, I need to make exceptions for visitors:

The freedom to go into the kitchen in my underwear.

Really, this one is more for Boyfriend than me.

Seriously though, I love it. Going to work is such a drag now – I wish I could become a full time professional hermit.

My Apartment is Trying to Kill Me

Remember when my appliances were against me? Well, the air conditioner is broken again:

It’s making me ridiculously hot and pissy. But that’s actually not what this post is about. It’s more about the wonky electricity:

So, last Friday was Friday the 13th. DUN DUN DA DUNNNNNN. What happened? Well, Boyfriend and I were hanging out in the living room.
Typical date night.
And roommate was cooking in the kitchen.

When all of a sudden:

Living room.

Kitchen

Luckily, we had enough electronics in order to light the apartment enough to check the circuit breaker. It was fine. I called the landlord, who said we could try to get someone to come by that night, or she’d come over the next day (for your information, landlord is NOT an electrician and would be totally useless in the apartment).

And that’s how we got an electrician to come over and fix our circuit breaker at 9pm on a Friday night.

But seriously. Is it time to move yet?

Apartment Hunting Sucks.

Ugh. As you may recall from the other week, I’m slightly depressed about my predicament, where apartment hunting is kind of like this:

My mom came to visit last week, and we checked out some apartments together.

It did NOT go well. Let me illustrate this to you in chart form.

Or maybe you’d rather see it this way:

Eventually it became like this:

I saw Boyfriend, and he tried to comfort me. Kind of:

I really do not want a roommate.

Yes, I let Boyfriend keep his testicles. Needless to say, I’m still looking for somewhere to live. Yes, it’s stressful. Sigh.
