Adjusting to the New Normal

Holy crap, time is flying by! Apologies for not blogging in awhile - hope you all are safe and COVID-free.

As I mentioned a few months ago, kitty and I have moved in with Boyfriend and his dog and two cats. How's that going, you wonder? Well...it's going....

poor, misunderstood, terrorizing kitty. oh well.

Wellness, Part II

Last time we checked in, Boyfriend's cat was all better and I was actively dying. What's happening now?

YEP. Sorry, Boyfriend.

Wellness Update

First thing's first:

Yep, Boyfriend's kitty is back to his old dumb self. Hurray!

How was everyone else this week?

He did, which was very helpful.

But you know it's bad when your cat thinks you've been home too many days in a row.

I'm finally feeling better, no thanks to her. Hope you all are getting through this flu season!

DNA Kitty

I knew she was more squirrel than cat.

Ok, not really. But kitty does appear to be more squirrel-like than cat-like in many ways.

Also, a quick update on last week's post:

He's eating and his fever isn't as high, but he's still lethargic and acting a bit off.

Sick Cat

Poor Boyfriend had a rough weekend.

His big ol tabby, Archer, was being very weird and lethargic on Friday, so he brought him to the vet Saturday morning.

Yep. We're not sure what's wrong with Archer. Luckily, he tested negative for all those awful F-diseases (FIP, FEV, etc etc.) He's still eating, so there wasn't too much the vets could do for him besides hydrate and let him go home. They think he's fighting off some kind of virus. Send him kitty well wishes and let us know your tips for keeping a feverish cat hydrated.

Foster Kitty, in Two Scenes

Hi all - I'm back but still kind of out of it, so you're getting a short but high quality post this week.

Boyfriend has been fostering a little gray kitten for a couple of weeks now.  One night, he brought the kitten over to my place. I shall now depict these experiences in two scenes:

And scene 2:

My cat is a monster. Honestly, I didn't even KNOW cats could scream-hiss.

How? And Also, Why?

Interest piqued? We're looking at this:

Yep, Boyfriend's cat has a new trick: Getting on his roof. Why? Who the hell knows.

(Yeah, that part didn't happen.)

Anyway, if he WAS putting up Christmas decorations, it'd look just like this:

Tis the season!

Big Cat, Big Dreams

You all know Boyfriend has two kitties and one is, uh, large. Possibly part ocelot. So this conversation ensued:

And of course, we both starting imaging Archer in that famous Miley Cyrus video. Enjoy:

But it also led me to answer the question "what's your dream job" and "what would you do if you had a million dollars? And the answer is: reshoot famous music videos with cats. Cats instead of Britney Spears in Oops I Did It Again. Cats instead of Christina, Lil kim, Pink, and Mya in Lady Marmalade. Cats instead of the Backstreet Boys in I Want It That Way.

Guys, this idea is a winner. I feel it in my bones. I also imagine there's a good chance someone already came up with this, so I'm refusing to google it to keep the dream alive.

Really, I only see one downside here:

Living Like Kings

Big news, everyone.

You guys don't understand. This is what the bed is like when I'm at Boyfriend's house:

Remember, the leg issue?

And this is what it's like now:
Yes, crowns.

It's glorious, you guys. GLORIOUS.

My only beef is that there's SO much space, it's harder to cuddle. I have to "swim" over to Boyfriend's side and and back. Sigh. I'm working on a contingency plan though.
