I worry about a violent reaction. The cat just sitting there doesn't sound too bad. I worry about the cat going nuts and clawing me half to death. Poor cat, but at least I was cool (no I wasn't)and that's the most important part.

P.S. My cat's name was "Fat Cat" so walking him didn't really help with his weight problem, obviously.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06962091404264725580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697966017575679500.post-46588632436112073422013-08-02T18:10:17.979-04:002013-08-02T18:10:17.979-04:00Maybe you need to set a better example for the cat...Maybe you need to set a better example for the cat. Or jumping on bubbles when one of their staff (me) takes time to blow some for them. Somehow, I don't think they'd take too kindly to a leash. Years ago, my father bought a cat leash and put it on my daughter's pet rabbit. (Not an easy task, I assure you!) Then my mother attempted to take the rabbit for a walk around our yard. Let's just say the rabbit wasn't interested, but WE sure got a lot of exercise... assuming laughing qualifies as exercise.Susan Flett Swiderskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09425315552148200073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697966017575679500.post-56914877418912175792013-08-02T08:37:27.824-04:002013-08-02T08:37:27.824-04:00There's a woman in my neighbourhood who walks ...There's a woman in my neighbourhood who walks her cat and the cat seems totally fine with it.

That would never fly with my cat though. The bonus of walking a cat is at least people don't say "who's walking who" like they do when you're walking a dog, as though that has ever been funny. However, I will never be attempting this. We tried it once with our really old cat and she freaked out, peed all over the place and basically tried to hang herself with the leash.

In other words, we just cut down her food. Good luck!Abbyhttp://www.abbyhasissues.comnoreply@blogger.com
