Stress and Bad Things, Bleh

Things have been stressful around here lately.

Puppy has lymphoma. You can hear all about it in 2 podcasts from now (sorry, got behind on the editing).  She’s getting doggie chemo, but there is nothing good about the situation.

I know that the right thing to do when things are stressful is to meditate, so I tried to use a mindfulness app on my phone.

Did you forget? I don't do pulses.

Sigh. How are you guys doing?

  1. Wait, you edit your podcasts?
Sorry to hear about the dog lymphoma. I take it they don't do doggy-chemo, do they? Poor little pooch.
As for the sunburn, oatmeal bath, so soothing. Hard to clean out the bathtub, but sooooo soothing.

    1. Yep, they do have doggie chemo, actually. Prognosis is not fantastic, but we're hoping it goes into remission for a little while.

And by edit, I just mean slap the music on at the beginning and end, and bleep out a word or two if necessary.

  2. Sorry to hear about the dog. It's always awful to see our pets in pain. On a lighter note, I'm equally surprised to hear that you edit your podcasts. Not my way of saying "because they sound like shit, you call that edited?" but rather they always just sound like one long, smooth conversation. I just figured it was all one take and you slapped on the music at the beginning, end of story.

    1. Yes, that's all it is (and the occasional bleeping out of a detail I don't want to share). Slapping the music on is a little bit of work, and Boyfriend needs to do it, so it sometimes takes awhile

  3. Ugh, so so sorry about Puppy. April has a lump too, though it does not seem to bother her. however, she had to get a tooth pulled last month and now we think the anesthesia damaged her hearing.

I hope your skin is feeling better.

  5. I'm so tired. Some years ago my sister and brother-in-law in New Jersey found a stray dog in a park when they were walking their dog. The stray, newly named Katie, had cancer. They spent thousands on chemo. She died, but at least she died with people who cared about her.

    Love,
    Janie

  7. Noooo...I'm sorry to hear about the puppy. It's never easy to go through with this, especially when all you want to do is tell them that everything is going to be fine.

  10. Yeah... I hope things go well for your dog. They didn't end so well for my ferret...

Also, I can't meditate either, I just end up falling asleep.
