Guys, you know what’s scary? Chest pain. You know what is very similar to chest pain? Boob pain. I’m not saying I kept Boyfriend up last weekend because I had boob pain and was worried I was having a heart attack, but I’m not NOT saying that, you know what I mean? It was kind of like this:
/end scene.
[OH and for everyone who complimented my bedspread drawing and wondered if it looked like that, 1. Thank you and 2. Yes, see? ]

| Sorry its all wrinkly |
Anyhoo, I’m still getting some random boob/chest pain (though not as bad as Saturday night), and I don’t like it. The next day Boyfriend and I had this follow up texting:
Boyfriend: Feeling better?
Me: Yeah. Sorry about that.
Boyfriend: I’m just happy you’re better
Me: Sweet tired Boyfriend
Boyfriend: Groggy *then he sent a link to an article about the relationship between cats and mental illness *
Another reason not to have cats
Me: Oh no! I’m already clearly at risk for mental illness
Boyfriend: AT RISK?!?
Me: Hush.

Ah! I hate to say it but you might be dying. Boob pain iS an issue.
ReplyDeleteJk. In seriousness, I have chest pain related to anxiety. Not as much lately (given all the meds) but still. Common misconception about chest pain...
I'm glad you're feeling better. But sorry you're 'at risk' for mental illness. You might want to rethink your whole get a cat plan.
ReplyDeleteWell it's clearly cancer.
ReplyDeleteThe "usexiest grope ever" made me laugh, well done. And yeah, your bedspread drawing is really great. It makes me wonder if ducks where you are actually carry signs. That's how realistic your drawing is.
I feel guilty to laugh because having random pains in sensitive places is not fun... much too scary. But you make it so funny that there's just no other option lol... glad you're feeling better of course - and like Pickleope - the unsexiest grope ever was a great touch!
ReplyDeleteHey, you know what, make an appt anyway ....
ReplyDeleteand get a cat!
The trick is that a cat could sit on your chest and give kitty massages, therefore reducing not only the acute boob pain, but also reducing anxiety that could cause actual chest pain.
ReplyDeleteIt's basically genius.
P.S. Maybe you're having boob growing pains? I don't know what that's like...
Martha had some bad breast pain a couple of years ago...bad enough she had to have check ups and at one point they found "something" but, it was not the c. It wasn't even serious.
ReplyDeleteUnless you're a hypochondriac, in which case think about it for a few minutes, do not ignore chest pain. Get that shit checked out. I don't care if you're 12, chest pain is not to be taken lightly.
ReplyDeleteI'd tell you to go to the doctor, but he'd probably ask you a load of unrelated questions like "Does your boyfriend have any pet names for your boobs?"
ReplyDeletelol!!!!!!!!!
DeleteBest reply ever!
DeleteHahaha!
DeleteI agree with everyone else. Get that chest pain checked STAT, yo. Do not play games with chest pain.
ReplyDeleteI think the key question is whether or not the pain was actually IN your boobage or behind it. That would be the deciding factor for me as to whether a dr visit is necessary.
ReplyDeleteYou know your body.
P.S. Beware if Boyfriend suddenly has a pain in the crotchital region...it may be a trap...
It never hurts to get that shit checked out. And I may have you beat on the unsexiest grope ever. When I was in the hospital with brain problems they checked all my heart stuff too and I had to get an echo of my heart, which is basically an ultrasound. So I had some random dude slicking up my left tit and feeling around while some woman, presumably there to testify on his behalf if I tried to claim he got handsy, stood over him watching.
ReplyDeleteYou two crack me up!! I love that he was sweet enough to not only check on your boob pain the next day but that he is considered about your mental health as well and sending you links ;-)
ReplyDeleteGo get it checked. I had boob pain 3 years back. Bad one. Checked and it was inflammation of rib cartilage. But also I discovered 4 lumps on my right boob during the scan. I wouldn't have known I had if hadn't gone for the check-up.
ReplyDeleteNice bed and bed spread. My guest room bed is like that and I also have a bed spread like that :p
You know, boob pain IS real. Sometimes they just feel... off. But if it persists you may want to go see a Dr. Not that nagging one with his 24927 personal questions and rude comments though. A real one.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I doubt that the link between cats and mental illness is that the cats cause the mental illness. I would guess that mentally ill people just get cats to talk to,hence a higher rate of mentally ill cat owners. If you're already at risk, no harm in getting a cat. It will just give you someone to talk to when you go over the edge, which you're already prone to do.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding! I am a lover of little animals though, so I'm pro cat.
Boob pain is the worst. The only time my girlfriend gets it is when we're being silly/rough and I punch her in the boob...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your boob feels better.
ReplyDeleteI had the same .then I removed my bra. turned out to be my transition period. I was transitioning from D to DD.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bedspread. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI get boob pain the days before my period. Like, if I take my bra off they ache bad. My poor boyfriend has to hear about it every month. "Ouch babe. My boob totally kills right now." Then we go off on a tangent about killer boobs. Then killer boobs from outer space. And I forget about the pain for about 10 minutes while we make up nonsense stories about how my boobs are going to conquer the world.
Sorry about your ouchy-boob. Make an appointment with your gyno if the pain persists (NOT Dr. Nosy Pants, no telling what sort of questions that would prompt).
ReplyDeleteGia, it probably isn't serious but it wouldn't hurt to see a professional and rule out any underlying causes. This might be a good time for you to get doctor referrals from folks you know. You can make a "get-to-know-you" type of appointment and just chat with them to see if they feel right for you. You really should have a regular primary care doctor though. Okay, Mom-speak is now turned off. :)
ReplyDeleteIf it was in fact pain in your boobs, I'm positive you're good to go. Mine are sore right now because I'm ovulating. I never got the sour boobs side effect until I was about 25. Boob pain is also one of the first signs of pregnancy. You'd know if it was your heart.
ReplyDeleteSEXIEST UNSEXIEST GROPE EVAR
ReplyDeleteWhen he gets old and has man boobs...Give him no sympathy when they hurt!
ReplyDeleteI'm a guy and even I have had boob(?) pain. I'm sure you're fine. I grew up with two older sisters and my mother, always mentioning something about a sore boob.
ReplyDeleteOMG I GET BOOB PAIN ALL THE TIME. you must have big boobs like me. It's a curse.
ReplyDeleteor I just run into shit all the time.
Whichever
Next time put a shirt on before you set the mousetrap.
ReplyDeleteDone.
Bahahaha! We are so the same person. Whatever you do, do not go on WebMD.
ReplyDeleteBoob pain is the worst!
Oh, and after boyfriend grabbed your boob I was really hoping the next picture would be of you two making out.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Who said that? pervert.
Ooooo! Good job on the bedspread...that's awesome. Hope your boob feels better!
ReplyDeleteGreatest representation of a bedspread using MSPaint ever.
ReplyDeleteI hate when I have random boob pain... Then again I get my hopes up that maybe they're growing pain since I'm not very well endowed in that area. But, sadly, these pains never seem to show an increase in the boobage area. Sigh. And nice job recreating your comforter.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have a lump that's painful, do you? (other than boyfriend) If it continues, I hope you'll see a doctor. If you have a boob lump, please insist on a biopsy.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I will occasionally get random boob pain. No clue what causes it. It just shows up, and then it disappears. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI get that weird boob pain too, and it's not always because Hellbaby is pinching my nipple. Damn, that kid can give a hella Texas tittie twister.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you posting a photo of the bedspread for comparison to the very accurate drawing you did.
ReplyDeleteI hope the pain doesn't return.
Haha!! I would LOVE to read that cat/mental health article!! And I love your pretty sheets! I hope it wasn't a heart attack, I though I was having one the other day... all my boyfriend said was "ahhh" and carried on playing computer games! x
ReplyDeleteYeah, cat crap causes schizophrenia. Yup, missy, it does.
ReplyDeleteI want to know, is it one boob, or both boobs. I am a concerned pervert. Both my boobs have been in a lot of pain recently. Not pregnant. Not possible. Maybe it's a boob bug that's going around.
Haha! So don't get cats!! Also, you might just be PMS-ing. I get random boobie pains when I'm PMS-ing.
ReplyDeleteIt could be cysts, which are really nothing to worry about, but diet and stress seem to affect their sensitivity. I have them, and other than nice swollen boobies (more than half a cup size!) around my cycle, they're literally quite a pain in the ....well boob. Your Gyno can do a breast exam and send you for an ultrasound just to be sure, but again, they're harmless aside from the pain sometimes. Hope it works out and the doc concurs!
